Leagues & Tournaments
Additional fees will be assessed individually if a player decides to participate in additional tournaments or leagues outside of the scheduled Fall & Summer UYSA leagues.

Fall & Spring Season League Play
Atomic teams from U5-U18 will participate in both a Fall and Spring season.

Club Fee
Club fees are essential to running Atomic. These fees cover the cost of equipment, field rental, indoor facility access, field maintenance, Goalkeeper Training, directors, coaching education and resources, communication/scheduling platforms, administrative costs, marketing, Atomic Soccer Girl’s & Atomic Soccer Boys programs, Development Program, Worker’s Compensation Insurance, and other club operational expenses.
Commitment
When a player accepts a position on a team, they are making a ONE-YEAR COMMITMENT to that team and a FINANCIAL COMMITMENT to pay all club-related fees for the soccer year, including additional team and travel expenses.
Note: Team fees are not included in the above breakdown, and will be determined by each team which may include tournament costs, filming equipment, team events, and other optional activities.
All parents/guardians must sign an agreement acknowledging their understanding of the financial commitment to Atomic Athletics Soccer Club. Players with overdue club or team fees may be temporarily removed from rosters and will not be eligible to participate in games or training until balances are current. Payment plans are available & financial aid can be applied for HERE.
Introducing the New Atomic Work Deposit Program
At Atomic Athletics, we believe in growing stronger together—and that means family involvement is essential to our success. We’re excited to launch a new program designed to increase support, reduce cost, and deepen our community connections: the Atomic Work Deposit Program.
What’s Expected
Each household with a player U9 or older is asked to contribute 15 hours of Atomic Service during the 2025–26 season or pay a $400 Work Deposit per family, making it more manageable for households with multiple athletes.
A combination of service hours and payment may be used to fulfill the requirement. The full commitment—whether through hours, payment, or a mix of both—is due by November 12, 2025.
If a family signs up for volunteer opportunities that occur after the November 12 deadline, those claimed hours will place a temporary hold on the family’s account, allowing additional time to complete them.
If the $400 deposit is paid in full and hours are completed after November 12, families are still eligible to submit those hours for a refund.
This flexible structure ensures families can participate meaningfully—even if their service begins later in the season
Coaching Fee
These are the fees paid directly to our coaching staff. As players move into older or more competitive levels, coaching fees typically increase to reflect the additional time, experience, and training opportunities.
UYSA Fees
Determined by the Utah Youth Soccer Association (UYSA), these include membership dues, league administration, and contributions toward the development of soccer infrastructure throughout Utah (Legacy Field Fee).
UYSA Referee Fees
These go directly to paying referees and referee assignors for official matches.
High School Provisional Teams
Players who join Atomic High School Provisional teams will incur an additional $75 to cover fields, referees, and UYSA registration for that specific season. Atomic Players who play for their High School team will receive a pro-rated refund for the duration of the High School season.
Atomic’s High School aged girls train through June and most of July, then break in August – October. Club play resumes in November and continues until May.
Atomic’s High School aged boys train June through February, breaking until the end of May.

Winter Training
Twice a week winter training sessions are included for all U9–U18 competition players as part of their seasonal programming. These sessions are designed to ensure continued development during colder months.
Club Wide Events
At Atomic, we’re proud to host a variety of awesome events that go beyond the field to build community and lasting memories. Our Atomic Soccer Girls and Atomic Soccer Brotherhood programs empower players through mentorship, connection, and team bonding. We consistently create unforgettable experiences with on-field opportunities involving RSL and Royals players, giving our athletes direct access to inspiration and role models. Club-wide events like last year’s Atomic Movie Night at FatCats, where all players and families were invited to a special pre-screening of Mufasa, bring everyone together in celebration of our shared Atomic spirit.
2025-2027 Uniforms
Covers the cost of a player’s kit. New uniforms are required every other year. 2025 is the start of a new two-year uniform cycle.

Our Coaches
Atomic is committed to delivering a high-level soccer experience, and that starts with our Coaching Staff. All of our coaches are either USSF Grassroots Certified, or actively working toward these credentials. All are also required to complete the National “Safe Sport Certification” as well as “Heads Up – Concussion Protocol” Certification. We pair this with a comprehensive training curriculum and a library of age-appropriate session plans to help coaches run effective, high-quality trainings.
We work closely with our coaches to ensure they understand the “why” behind each session and are implementing training that supports proper player development.
We emphasize six key characteristics in our Coaching Philosophy:

- Positivity – Coaches focus on encouragement and building CONFIDENCE. Players thrive in environments where they feel supported.
- Patience – Development is a process. We teach coaches to meet players where they are and guide them with understanding and consistency.
- Organization – Every session should be well thought-out and executed with clear structure, minimizing downtime and maximizing learning.
- Fun – When kids enjoy training, they stay motivated and engaged. Fun is essential for long-term growth.
- Clear Communication – Coaches must deliver instructions in a way that’s easy to understand and adjust based on player age and comprehension.
- Creativity – Great coaches find new ways to challenge and inspire players, adapting activities to meet their team’s unique needs.
The ATOMIC Development Program
The Atomic Player Development Program is a dynamic training initiative designed to elevate the skills and performance of all players within our club. Led by one of our amazing USSF-Certified Coaches, each session offers high-energy, professional group training, organized into three groups: Group 1: U5–U8 players, Group 2: 7v7 & 9v9 players and Group 3: 11v11 players. This structure ensures that each player receives age-appropriate coaching tailored to their stage of growth. The program is centered around three key goals:
Individual Player Skill Development
First, we emphasize individual player skill development by focusing on fundamentals such as ball control, dribbling, passing, and shooting – Helping players grow more confident and consistent in their technique.
Increase Players’ Power, Speed, and Agility
Second, we work to increase players’ power, speed, and agility through age-appropriate fitness activities that enhance explosiveness, coordination, and quickness—giving athletes a physical edge on the field.
Build Confidence with the Ball
Lastly, we strive to build confidence with the ball by creating a supportive environment where players are encouraged to take risks, express themselves, and develop creativity during play.
The Coach: Stephen Blake
Certifications: USSF C & D License
Stephen represented his country and played soccer for the Fiji Soccer U17, U20, Olympic, and Men’s National Teams, and was able to travel all of the South Pacific and much of Southeast Asia for competition.
After playing soccer for his country, Brigham Young University Hawaii offered him an academic and athletic scholarship where he graduated with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Exercise & Sport Science.
Stephen, has over 15 years of experience coaching youth athletes.
Goalkeeper Training
Atomic’s Goalkeeper Training Program is a specialized development initiative crafted to build confident, technically sound, and game-ready goalkeepers at every level of play. Led by one of our highly experienced Goalkeeper Trainers, USSF-certified goalkeeper coaches, each session delivers focused, high-intensity training in a supportive group setting. From foundational footwork and shot-stopping to advanced positioning and game scenarios, the Goalkeeper Training is the perfect environment for goalkeepers to grow, compete, and thrive between the posts.
Indoor Leagues & Tournaments
Indoor leagues & Tournaments are a highly encouraged part of the soccer experience at ATOMIC. For many players, these experiences will become some of their most treasured childhood memories.
Indoor Leagues & Tournament Selection
Indoor Leagues and tournaments are not required for Academy and Sparks age groups however they are encouraged to join a few throughout the year. All U9–U18 are required to participate in at least two tournaments throughout the year & indoor leagues.

Indoor Leagues & Tournament Fees
Indoor Leagues and Tournaments are not included in the club dues. These fees will be invoiced separately and must be paid within 10 days of the team registering for the event and will be non-refundable. Costs will vary depending on the event and are divided evenly among participating players.

Coach’s Travel Expenses (for approved travel tournaments only)

Atomic Team Buffer Fee Policy: All non-club transactions will include a $5 buffer fee. This fee goes into a team-specific account and is used to cover unexpected expenses throughout the season.
- Player Withdrawal: If a player commits but needs to withdraw before the deadline, the team can use buffer funds instead of issuing a new invoice.
- No Show / Forfeit: If your team doesn’t attend a scheduled indoor league game, the league may charge a $35–$50 no-show fee.
- Reschedule Fees: If a spring or fall season game is rescheduled after the UYSA deadline, there is a $50 fee.
- Cancellation or Other Fees: Any additional fees that arise during the season can be covered using buffer funds.
- The buffer account is tracked and accessible by the Coaching Staff.
- Any remaining funds at the end of the season may be refunded to families or used at the team’s discretion—with a unanimous team decision—for things like a team party, gear, or gifts.
